India Ranked 65th among 88 countries on global hunger index. Despite being unaffected by the recent global economy slowdown, India has not improved its position on this index. Still 21% of the Indian population is undernourished, 43.5 per cent Indian children under the age five were underweight(2002-2007). Recently our government has declared food stock of 50 million tonne, then why our 300 million Indians fellow goes without food every day in India? these data may not be surprising for many of you as we are used to see these data every then and now, but have you really ever thought about this number "300 million" this is not just another number of account and statistics department or a number of any data sheet, this is number of HUMAN, number of INDIANS who goes WITHOUT FOOD per day. we have dominoz with the revenue of $1.425 billionUSD, Pepsico $42.3 billion USD and many other branded companies with billion dollar revenue serving the so called middle class and upper class people round the globe at one hand and people living without food in many countries. We have the fertile land, rivers, supporting climate, we have enough resources to feed our own people, then why? why are still on this index? Why we can't feed our brothers who are also a HUMAN and son of our Mother India.
